we had a GREAT time at our first Fourth of July in California. We were
actually able to enjoy it outside... and didn't melt... and didn't get eaten up
by mosquitos! It was very unusual. We started the day off by walking in
the neighborhood "parade." By parade I mean about 40 kids/adults
dressing up their bikes, scooter, & wagons and
walking in the neighborhood behind an old Chrysler. There were even
two houses that provided refreshments. Katheryn seemed
to enjoy it, however; she wouldn't wear the blue tutu
that we had made together. Her dad even tried to let her
know how cool it was, but she wasn't having any of it. It ended up
on the back of the wagon.
We then headed over to grandma & grandpa Parisi's for some swimming
and hamburgers. It was a great way to a great holiday!
